We are seeking a skilled Thermal Processing Operator to join our team at our metal recycling facility. The Thermal Processing Operator will be responsible for managing thermal processing operations, including incineration, milling, sifting, and blending. This role requires expertise in handling melters, adhering to safety protocols, and performing thief sampling of ashes containing precious metals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in thermal processing, equipment handling, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

· Operate and monitor thermal processing equipment (including incinerators and melters) to ensure efficient and safe operation.

· Perform milling, sifting, and blending of processed materials to meet production standards.

· Conduct thief sampling of ashes containing precious metals to evaluate material composition and quality.

· Adjust processing parameters based on sampling results and production requirements.

· Maintain and troubleshoot thermal processing equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.

· Follow strict safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

· Maintain detailed records of processing operations, sampling results, and equipment performance.

· Collaborate with production teams and supervisors to meet production targets and improve process efficiency.

· Participate in regular training and safety meetings to stay up to date on best practices and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Minimum 2–3 years of experience in thermal processing, metal recycling, or manufacturing.

· Experience with incineration and thermal equipment handling required.

· Proficiency in milling, sifting, and blending processes.

· Experience with thief sampling of ashes containing precious metals.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

· Ability to operate forklifts, hoists, and other heavy equipment (certification preferred).

· Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

· Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
