Maintenance Mechanic
JOB DESCRIPTION
OVERVIEW
Provides preventative maintenance and repair services for production and facility equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently troubleshoot problems and complete corrective mechanical actions.
- Perform necessary periodic maintenance on machines as required.
- Determine if machine parts can be repaired or replaced.
- Assist and advise outside contractors on any work to be completed.
- Participate in team problem-solving as part of the departmental continuous improvement process.
- Overhaul and install new equipment.
- Accurate and thorough documentation of all work performed using maintenance system and/or technical reports.
- Utilize a variety of machines and hand tools used for adjusting, fabricating, fitting, and checking production equipment for repair and/or replacement.
- Attend all safety meetings, report any safety incidents/accidents, and understand and follow all Company and Plant Safety policies and procedures.
- Examines, tests, and measures products from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments.
- Performs other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in a mechanic capacity in a manufacturing environment
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
- Ability to lift 60 pounds.
- Must be able to do repetitive bending and stretching.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with good problem-solving and analysis skills.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- 3D CAD modeling software experience a plus
- Proficient in computer applications and software.
- Experience with MRP systems such as Oracle or SAP preferred.
